The Final Countdow

This is the first day of my last week as a stay at home mama. I am surprisingly sad about it. It is especially surprising since most of the time I have been home with my girl, I felt like I was losing my ever-loving mind. Don’t get me wrong, I think she is the greatest thing since chocolate chip cookies, but there are only so many times a person can read “a very hungry caterpillar” without going stark-raving crazy. But now our days are numbered, and everything seems a little cuter and slightly less annoying.

M (my daughter) and I went sledding today with some folks we know in the neighborhood. In case you are wondering, it takes at least three times longer to dress and undress a one-year old than the longest sledding adventure could possibly last.

Today, M was also obsessed with cars. She kept staring out the windows watching the traffic and listening for motors, signing “car” all day long.
