I think it's much worse that babies get seperated from their families and have no contact and go to another country just to get those exact same benefits. that bothers me more. Their teacher explained it`s very difficlt to enter universities in Korea, so many parents hope their kids can go to college over here, so they have them studying English from a very young age (the youngest kid on her program was only 9). The students` parents requested that she take them on a tour of Stanford, just to inspire them. We hosted 2 Korean exchange students for a month last year. That situation always made me wonder about the legalities involved so I guess I can see where people might like the quasi-adoption route.
