Any minute now, there is a situation at my job that is going to blow up in a very messy way. It is neither my fault nor my problem, but I am the most likely to suffer because of it. And no, I won’t be lucky enough to get laid off early because that, my friends, would not be suffering. That would be cause for celebration.
Anyway, I am choosing not to care right now because there is a big green bowl of lilacs on my desk. The are my all-time favorite flowers and they smell divine.
Lilacs are my favorite part of spring.

Completely unrelated to what I wrote above, tonight we have a parent-teacher conference at M’s preschool. Cross your fingers that I can avoid bursting into uncontrollable giggles when A becomes the most stereotypical of all stereotypical Asian overachieving parents and asks the teachers about M’s "academic progress".
How much academic progress can a three year old make? Tonight we will find out.
Lilacs are my absolute favorite too.
Sorry about work.
I can’t wait until Miss M and Tootie are in school together.
I love lilacs! I recently attended my four year olds p/t/c haha accedemic progress….well can she spell her name? Make a pattern? Color in the lines?…oh ya you’re not suposed to tell them to do that anymore……
