Nothing beats having a small person lean over and vomit in your lap during dinner.
Actually, I take that back. The only thing that might be less fun is having a kid puke in your lap when your husband is getting ready to go out of town on a fun trip to visit friends in San Francisco, leaving you to do sick-duty alone.
Right now, I am just hoping the puke was a one time side effect of M’s runny nose. If this is the flu, I may lose my mind by the time A gets back on Monday.
aghhhhhh- I feel bad for you- every time my husband goes out of town one of us gets sick……..hope it was a one off and your time without A is fast and painless……good luck!

Really, you are stronger than you think, just don’t focus on the fact that you’re alone, think of small steps at a time.

i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but something is definitely going around. simon had it, greta had it. for simon, no puking but ran a fever. for greta: puked once, ran a fever for about 2 days, spent the entire week generally miserable and clingy. that is more or less the story i’m hearing from other mom’s with kids as well.
i hope hope HOPE that isn’t what m has.
I think it was a single incident generated by the random thought of smashed lizards, or some such nonsense. Definitely not an illness!!!

Try having 2 sick kids while your husband is in China for 2 weeks adopting your 3rd child! At least A will be back home very soon, and he’s not out of the country.
I have to say, having a sick kid is bad….but having three sick kids and then getting sick yourself due to exhustion is even worse!…they all seem to get it one after another, and you have to pray that you’re last…because it’s no fun being sick mommy! No one lets you be sick!!
