We survived the flight home.
Huge props to American Airlines. They not only moved us to the bulkhead row on a totally full transcontinental flight, they also came up with a bassinet for little L to sleep in. She slept for about 8 of our 12 hour flight. It was awesome.
We are currently being bitchslapped by jetlag. If you called yesterday, you can try again today and we may actually answer the phone. Earlier is better than later, as we went to bed at 5pm last night.
L has a new tooth just about ready to pop through. Add that to the jetlag fun and you can imagine what a party it has been around here since we woke up at 4:30 am.

Welcome Home AmFam! I hope your jetlag is shortlived.
Posey also just got a new tooth, and it was pissing her off. We found that frozen washcloths for chewing worked wonders.
I hope your re-acclimation goes smoothly. Welcome back.
Welcome home! I’m glad you made it back safely!
Welcome home!
Glad you made it home safely, and your flight went well. Congratulations again!
Welcome home. I’m glad the flight went well.
Welcome back.
Yay, glad you made it home safe and sound. Score on the bulkhead seats AND the sleeping baby. Woot!
Now, may your jetlag be mild and short-lived…
How wonderful that she slept 8 hours on the plane though!
Rest up and good luck with that tooth.
Jet lag is a pain with toddlers. But all that sleep on the plane should help – and of course it makes the flight far less painful.
Take it easy for a few days (yeah, right) and things will be better. Welcome home.
I’ve been reading all your updates but felt like you have enough on your plate in china to read even one more comment, so I held on until you got home. But I’m SO proud of you. You did so well in China and everything that you have to undergoe is now behind you. You have your precious L home and M has the sister to play with that you longed for. You’re incredibly lucky!
Try and get some sleep.
I’m glad you made it all right. And the 8 hours of sleep during the flight? Awesome!! As for the jet lag, I’ll see how it goes up close and personal when my parents return from visiting my brother in China in June. It probably won’t be easy on them, since they’re in their late 60s.
Well, I hope pretty soon everyone feels better and that the new tooth doesn’t bother L (and you) too much…
Welcome home. From a fellow “teether”, I feel your pain.
Welcome home!
Welcome home! Coming back from the East is always harder than going as far as jetlag is concerned. Give yourself every possible break, treat, indulgence and restful moment. Let life catch up to you slowly. I am so happy for you going on this journey and coming home again!
I love it when they sleep most of the plane ride. Glad you arrived safe and sound!
Glad you’re home. Looking forward to seeing you all.
Please let me know if there is anything we can do!
Nan
Welcome home!
