L has been teething since we first met her. She had four teeth that looked like they would pop through any minute. So far, only one has made and appearance, though I swear the other ones take turns poking through then retreating again.
Right now, L is a snaggletooth.
Not only is she a snaggleItooth, she is a drooly, runny-nosed mess as the photo below will demonstrate. And where does all that snot and drool end up? On my t-shirts. My usually BLACK t-shirts. I look like a human tissue.
If it was only the drool and the snot, I could accept it. But it is the sleep disruption that is pushing my last button. It is messing with her overnight sleep and her naps, just when I was starting to get the hang of them.
The teeth need to just come in, already. Either they come in soon, or I am going to go in there and drag them out myself.
*This message was brought to you by the virus known as mommy blogging. Do not adjust your monitor. This blog will return to its regularly scheduled snarking as soon as the damn teeth come in already.
What a great picture–snot and all!
Ugh, teething. I remember teething. It was awful. I’m sending you “come in already, dammit!” vibes.
Awww – poor gorgeous girl!
Teething sucks. When we brought the girls home they had just four teeth and the rest came in in steady succession over the next few months – we thought it would never stop.
But trust me – it does. And life gets better.
Beautiful picture!
Miss I was much older when she came home, but almost all of her teeth waited to come through, just as soon as we were recovered from the jetlag. Sorry you too are experiencing disturbances in the only-newly improved sleep! And the human tissue thing? I’m with you there, too. It’s become a toddler joke — she pretends to blow her nose on me. It could be worse, though — she also wipes her nose on the dog. Won’t she be glad I shared that . . .
But damn if she doesn’t look proud of herself. And adorable. Not sure if that’s despite or because of the snot but it’s pretty darn cute. Was she teething when you met her? LSP cut her first two teeth on our first day together. As for snot covered tee shirts, I’m going to have to turn you on to snot colored tees. And now that I think about it, I realize I don’t wear black very often anymore. Hmmmm.
She may be drooly and runny-nosed, but she sure is damn CUTE!
I have this same problem. I told dh – I look so cute in this black Tshirt… until G gets upset about something and uses my shoulder as a tissue. Ew.
She is so cute!
She makes snot and drool look pretty damn good! So cute!
She’s just lovely, snot and drool and all.
She is just beautiful!
I hated those teeth that would move up and down. Teeth teasers I called them!
Good lord, her outrageous level of adorableness just slays me. Whew. I might have to go take a nap now. Seriously, she’s THAT cute.
I have no advice about the teeth, though. Perhaps you could start wearing a frilly apron around the house to keep the snot/drool off your t-shirts? [*running and ducking*]
Yes, but I bet the cute mitigates the other issues. So, so cute.
Doh. If I hadn’t been trolling your blog at O Dark Thirty, I would have seen that YES, L was teething when you met her. I didn’t want you to think my reading comprehension skills were that poor.
What a cute pic! Teething is the pits, though!
OMG that is the cutest picture ever. Teething sucks but it really does make for great pictures.
That’s one cute snaggletooth.
L is absolutely adorable – and I hope for your sake the teeth come in soon. I so feel for you about the sleep – sleep deprivation sucks.
So cute. How can you stand it?
As for the sleep issues I feel for you. That’s the worst. It affects everything.
What a great smile–snot, drool and all.
Adorable! Thanks for the photo
She’s adorable! I notice you are introducing her to the whole black-as-fashion-statement. Hoping for the teething-drooling-snotting to come to a quick and neat conclusion. (heh As if!)
What an adorable snaggletooth she is!!
