I find that I go back and forth about the rituals surrounding death. But my experience says that seeing everyone gathered together to celebrate someone's life is very affirming for all who attend. Go and enjoy being part of a family who had your great grandfather as a member. A man who has passed on a part of himself to you and your family and earned the respect of all.
