See I have slipped even farther because I have four.

1st and 2nd child never eat fast food, until we become part of a playgroup that meets at an evil arches indoor playground during winter.

So first and second child are 4 and 6 and have never had McD's. Third child gets them while breastfeeding. Fourth child gets them as teethers.

Sigh.

I'm still upset at the child care provider who gave my kid a Cheeto. Prepare for lots of organic cheese, AmFam.

What does it say when the same rules apply to Child #1? We don't do The Chef but we sure do other stuff, like "Hey! Have another juice box!"

This is soooo true! With my first, I was in her kindergarten class every day, helped with all the field trips and parties, etc. Second time around, I've done some of that, but am more than happy to skip a field trip or class party here and their. We were hyper-vigilant about what the first watched on TV, but that has relaxed a lot. Because the older one can't stand the 'little-kid' shows, the younger one watches the 'older shows' - although still pretty tame stuff (Discovery Kids, etc.). With my older one I would freak out if she was out of my sight for an instant at the park...but I have relaxed about that as well. One thing I would like to get back to is doing more hands-on activities (crafts, science experiments) and day trips together with the kids. Oh, and I have the photos trapped in the comupter, too :~).
