Some companies will include relocation expenses (including housing losses and related expenses) in the package. Something to consider.

Move here to Chicago, AmFam! We have a large job market of course and the housing prices are becoming more reasonable. It's great for kids and always fantastic outings for the sans-kids evenings. Hmmm...maybe I'll take my own advice and get a sitter this weekend! Sushi anyone?

My friends from college moved back to Chicago from Toldeo, OH a few months ago. They left the house unsold in Ohio and rented in Chicago for 3 months. The house finally sold at a loss but they didn't care. They said Chicago was so fun and amazing that it was worth the money! So there!!!!

You should move to China Town....that would be totally awesome.
