Tasks completed since this weekend:
-Office painting completed
-books boxed up
-M’s room primered, new color selected
-tantrumed about not wanting to move
-hall & stairs primered, color selected, painted
-bookshelf primered, painted
-nasty laundry sink scrubbed for the first time in 3 years (who knew how not-disgusting it could look!)
-rocking chair painted for staging
-47 items purchased at Target because they might look good
-46 items returned to Target because they did not look good
-Ashes cleaned out of fireplace
-scrubbed long-ago spilled fabric softener from basement floor (which looked like a sewage stain? but at least the rag was very soft after all the scrubbing)
-scrubbed downstairs bathroom grout – why didn’t I do this before? It looks 100Xs better.
-yelled at Mr. A because he wasn’t doing enough work to help with the house
-apologized to Mr. A because I was unnecessarily rude during chastizing about not helping
To do this week:
-Trim in kitchen, hall, playroom, stairs
-paint back hallway
-Paint M’s room
-scrub kitchen grout
-Paint kitchen door
-scrub basement walls
-paint basement
-touch up ceiling in office
-paint ceiling in living room
-fix peeling paint from rice cooker on kitchen ceiling
-convince my dad he should stay with me and work on the basement rather than going to Princesses on Ice (probably not a hard sell)
Oh wow. All of our painstakingly done (only nights and weekends for hubby) and photographed and blogged ad nauseum renovations look kind of lame if compared to all the things you’ve been doing! You go, girl!
Holy crap! I’m impressed.
Also, I always do this when I move. I get something really clean and then wonder why the heck I didn’t clean it or paint it earlier so I could at least enjoy it while I lived in the house.
Um. My goals for the week include maybe taking a few showers, buying laundry detergent, and cleaning my floors before hosting next Sunday’s playgroup. You are amazing.
I bought some grout cleaner at Home Depot and a couple of very stiff, thin brushes for scrubbing grout. Holy cow. Who knew? The stuff works. My eco friendly Shark Steamer didn’t do a damn thing for the grout but the stuff from HD? Miraculous.
Your list is taking my breath away. Must go rest.
Wow. I need to hire you. Too bad you will probably not move to my area.
Impressive. I am on ‘midwinter recess’ this week and have only accomplished unlocking Slash on Guitar Hero3!
Must go to post office tomorrow for passport renewals or we won’t be going to MarineLand this summer.
I am tired just reading this post.
Oh my gosh- I echo Peg. I’m exhausted just reading what you’ve done and your to do list. I’ve had “put together nursery” on our to do list for 3 weeks, and it still hasn’t been touched…wanna come over?!
