Around here, we usually get 2-3 inches of snow per storm max. I didn’t even know it was supposed to snow this weekend, so I missed out on my big chance to rush the grocery store to buy milk and bread like every other person in town. They are actually saying we are in the middle of a real, live blizzard.
This is our cozy coupe, if you can’t tell.

Hooray! Thanks for posting a pic. My mother lives about 20 min north of your fair city (or at least, if you are where I think you are) and she’s been talking about having 14″ of snow?!? I told her to take pictures but she’s still using actual film and I wonder if I’ll ever see them.
Eep, I hope that you have enough food and such to get you through the weekend! Hope the girls enjoy the big snow. This is a storm they’ll probably talk about for years.
Yep, the storm finally stopped about 4:15 and we’re an hour west of you (if you live where I think you do.) It was great because the snow stopped after 30 hours and the sun started shining brightly at the same time. It was nice. I’m fairly sure that this has to be it. Spring is on the way. It’s hard to know how to measure the snowfall when there was so much blowing and drifting. As your picture show……it was a lot for this neck of the woods.
Take care!

Oh Amber…you can have some of ours. As of Wednesday, we in Ottawa had received 353 cm of snow so far this winter. Last night, we got another 20 and they are predicting 40 to 50 cm (so, well over a foot) today. IT IS INSANE! We have run out of places to put the damn stuff! I didn’t grow up here and have never seen anything like this.
When is winter going to end?!?
Better you than us. (We were forecast for eight, but the storm barely glanced in our direction. Evilly gleeful meteorologists were predicting that this weekend would push us up to the highest snowfall amount.)
Oh, that is so cool.
I grew up in MN at a time when March meant 8-12 inch snowstorms at least one weekend. They blamed it on the high school hockey tournament, and the high school basketball tournaments, and yeah, it was just as silly-sounding then.
