a day of rest

Ever since Mr. A heard from the Big Boss, I have been working like a maniac to get the house ready to sell.  The pi.tbull news revved things into overdrive.*

Every night after the girls go to bed and all weekend long, I have been working on house projects.  I have been cutting ceiling tiles, painting walls, painting a ceiling, painting furniture, climbing on the roof to patch the chimney,  replacing doors, decluttering, relandscaping the front yard, etc.

I am TIRED.

Tomorrow, we have some workers coming to do some repairs.  Fortunately, the repairs create noxious fumes so I have to take the girls to my parents’ house for the night.  That means I get a night off.

A whole night to sit and watch TV and surf the internet.  I can’t believe how excited I am by the prospect of doing nothing.

Yippee!

*For the record, there has still been no call for an interview from the wet dream job.  We also haven’t seen hide nor hair of the dog since the neighbors came home from their vacation on Sunday.  I am hoping they realized how much more expensive this dog will be compared to a normal dog and decided to give it back.

  • Just reading that made me tired. I think I’d make like L and demand some cake for all that effort.

  • Are you serious about climbing on the roof to patch the chimney? WOW!! I don’t think I would do *that*!!

Well, I hope you had some good relaxing time at your parents’ house… too bad you had to have that “pleasant” discussion about taxes.
