This afternoon, Mr. A got a call about another interview.
This job is much more important and prestigous than the one in Chicago. And strangely, I think he has a much better chance of actually getting this job.
It is rare that we are at such a pivotal moment in our lives and actually aware of it while it is happening.
That knowledge is not making this any easier.
I do not know what we are going to do.
WHERE IS IT.
(awesome title)
D.C.
dc could be good. lots of different possibilities there. def. mixed neighbourhoods.
breathe-dc does have a lot of options…
Hang in there…the roller coaster ride has to end some time.
DC’s pretty cool. But it’s hot. And humid. But cool, as in lots of Famous Places and a feeling of Being At the Hub of Important Work Going On. And there’s softshell crab!
DC has a decent metro, too, and with the price of gas these days…
Lots of parks and open spaces, free museums, diversity, interesting and smart people, and good restaurants, or at least that’s what I tell myself when I’m tired of living here.
Are you out of you mind?
You could be living in the same city as Obama!!!!
Sorry about the stress.
Speaking of Obama, I put my vote his way yesterday, and I wanted to tell you that the discussion about the candidates on your blog was part of that decision. Since, umm, I spend a lot more time reading blogs than actual newspapers.
Oy. I’m sorry. I know you are hoping to stay where you are. I just hope you get a clear picture soon so you don’t have to keep living in limbo!
I know how hard it is to uproot, and I hope you don’t have to if you don’t want to, but if you do, YAY!
And if it makes you feel better, I’d make you banh xeo monthly.
DC is great, especially if you’re looking for some Asian population. And it’s really only hot and humid in July and August. Or perhaps it’s just that you get used to it.
