we had a very similar experience with the twins. Monday was their last day at preschool. The teachers were teary, we were teary, but they shared hugs with the other kids because we told them to. They just wanted to leave and go swimming. I guess the world looks different when you are four.

I often see how ready the children are for new adventures while their moms wax nostalgic. It has been wonderful at her preschool. But with M's personality and talents I am sure Kindergarten will be even better. And since you are not longer looking at moving, some of the friends she makes next year may be her friends for years to come. And you still have a little one at home to indulge or will she start preschool soon?

I can't believe how fast Real School is coming down the chute at me, either.
