Things are moving forward around here.
We have had several more showings after a very busy open house. I have been fighting my phone-phobia and calling all the realtors for feedback. So far, I have been told the house is “adorable” and “lovely” and “shows beautifully”, which is good to hear. The only negatives we have received are about things I can’t really fix (big chimney in front of the house, two beds up/two down).
This time around, though, I am not putting everything on hold to focus on house stuff. We are beginning to look forward to summer. M has three weeks of school left, but we are already letting the girls stay up later and play outside until they drop of exhaustion. L would be outside every single minute of the day if we let her.
We did have a minor mishap last night. M took a header off her bike and landed right on her nose in a neighbor’s driveway. She was gushing blood everywhere. ( I had to hose down the driveway, there was so much carnage.) Strangely, I couldn’t find any open wounds (no scratches on her visible skin). We stuck some ice on her and she seems to have avoided bruises and black eyes. She said it doesn’t hurt unless she pushes on it really hard, so hopefully there isn’t any kind of broken bone or cartiledge. I also learned that Mr. A is not particularly practical in a bloody crisis. He was trying to help, but his help wasn’t very helpful.
This weekend is going to be jam-packed with stuff to do. We have the local Asian festival on Saturday, a friend’s party on Sunday and a parade and neighborhood block party on Monday.
I am already tired just thinking about it. Have a great weekend!

ugh I hope M feels better. I had a girl Scout do the face plant on the nose last weekend. The blood! OMG< I swore her nose was broken. But it wasn’t….
Poor M. It’s likely that the force of the crash ruptured a blood vessle or two in her nose – those suckers can bleed like nothing on earth without needing any visible wound to do it from. Hope she’s feeling better!
Enjoy the weekend! We had a big party for Linton, grandpa, and K’s birthdays today and… as luck would have it, we have a showing at TEN AM, tomorrow morning! ha ha ha. I’m here cleaning and poor K is mowing the lawn. I broke the self-propeller motor in our push lawn-mower, so now he has to *really* push it
.
Well… my in-laws are here and we’re having a good time, that’s all that counts! I hope your weekend was great so far.
Hope M is feeling better. Our kids are all scraped up with bumps & bruises from being outside, too. I consider it a happy sign that summer’s almost here!
Poor M.
Glad it wasn’t serious. The blood woulda made me panicky too. The bumps and scrapes I can do easily, but the gushers, I am almost like in near, call 911 mode, lol. Which is *not* very helpful, I know. Especially since here in Japan it’s 119.:)
Your weekend ahead sounds awesome. When my hubby and I lived in Colorado, we would always go to the Asian festivals. Mostly the Japanese ones, but we liked them all, they were all pretty cool. And the food, yumm. I think you guys will be having a fun weekend.

I haven’t had to deal with any major blood crises yet…I hope I can handle them with children because I can’t with adults.
When we sold our last house, one couple came through 5 times. Every single time the feedback from the realtor was the same “There isn’t a downstairs bathroom.” I wondered why they kept coming back – were they hoping one would suddenly appear? Or that we would offer to build one for them?
