I was intending to write my most recent MIL story tonight, even though I have not yet found a way to make it funny.
Unfortunately for you, my darling readers, a mouse just ran across my living room floor while I was sitting there. Instead of writing, I need to go buy more and more sophisticated mouse traps or I will not be able to sleep tonight.
Ugh. Rodents.
edited to add:
The brazen little bastard won’t go away. I am trying to watch TV and it insists on running all around the living room. And who knew, mice actual do squeek.

Ack!
You are dealing with the little furry invader better than I would. I know mice and bugs happen, but I freak out when I see one. Go get ‘em!
You just spoiled my evening, blergh!
How in the world did you find the stamina to photograph it??? ARGH!!
the profile one is borderline cute.
We found one in our basement this past week. Thankfully for us (and sadly for the mouse), we have four cats who are ruthless.
So glad to know I’m not the only one tormented by mice.
Umm, is that not TWO mice, a pair, distinguished by their tails?
Awww, he’s cute! But only because he is not in my house. Then he’d be a dead bastard.
Gah, this is one of the few falls where we haven’t had problems (knock on wood). I have absolutely no mercy for rodents in the house!! OK, Ron has no mercy — I won’t go near them…
I actually got the chills!
My fil used to give their mouse a name. It made it way less scary
It was only one little fellow living in the garage sneaking in to share there crisps…
Such a brave rodent! So brave of you to not run out the door screaming!
He’s actually kinda cute, don’t you think?! Maybe he likes watching t.v. with you?
If he was in my house, he’d be dead by now… either killed by the cat or bashed by a broom. Obviously PETA is not requesting my membership.
Gah!
What kind of camers do you have that you managed to get pics of a fast-moving rodent?
The more sophisticated mouse traps? They’re called cats
We have a mouse too. I had a horrible migraine and the cat chased the mouse under the couch upon which I lying! I don’t want to beat it to death with a broom, so I wish the cats would get it. They’re usually pretty good, but this one seems to be wily.
Words of wisdom from my mother:
“There is no such thing as one mouse.”
you need a cat. never a mouse with one in the house.
I vote for a cat. It will clear that up right away!
Yeah, I vote for a cat, too, because they are so cute and cuddly….but if you have a cat, you may find mouse parts (guts, etc.) all over your floor. Just a warning.
awww, he’s cute!
A cat’s the way to go, if you like cats. I’m somehow MUCH less disturbed by country mice than I was by city mice. Then again, in the city it was a full-on infestation and here we just have the occasional Winter visitor.
But, we have a mouse in our CAR, which I’m not thrilled about.
