I just realized I missed my blogiversary. Would you believe I have been doing this for over 8 years now? I started when M was nearly 1 and now she is 9.
Instead of writing a decent post tonight (sorry! I am tired from paining the basement for the past 2 weeks.), I gussied up my blog a little. I added an archives page and added a page with a little info about searching for birth families in China.
I also accidentally reverted to my old header picture when I was updating WordPress. I am going to keep it for a while since the girls are actually close to the ages of the girls in the picture and it makes me feel a little nostalgic.
Now all I have to do is get together a favorite posts page (any suggestions?) and I am good to go.
Just wait until you see my basement before and after pictures. Then you will understand my long, painful absence.
Congratulations on the 8 years! Have I really been blogging longer than you? (I started on Nov. 04 — my internet & browsers aren’t loading anything well right now, so I couldn’t get to the bottom of your archives).

Long time lurker – one of my favorite posts is the one where M was in preschool and you had to address the Valentines cards (based on her pronunciation of the names). I read that every year when my children are doing their V-day cards because it cracks.me.up every time.

I have read this blog for a while, as someone said above I could be classed as a long time lurker! 8 years is a long time, its well worth me making my 1st post to say well done. I know this will make me sound like a dinosaw but I wasnt even online 8 years ago – I had never touched the Internet.

I love that you have the archives now. When I have time on my hands (which, with my college search and stuff right now, is practically never) I love to go way back on blogs and read through their lives. Maybe I sound like a creep. I probably shouldn’t have said that.
